Booking Terms


1 Covid-19/Coronavirus & Introduction

Thank you for choosing to stay at Grassmoor Guest House. We look forward to meeting you and hope you will enjoy your stay. By making this booking you have entered into a legally binding contract with us to which these terms and conditions apply.

During the ongoing Covid-19 crisis we have implemented several changes to our normal operations and our booking terms, it is your responsibility to make yourself familiar with the following changes that are required to operate in a Covid Secure manner.

We have suspended all booking deposits for reservations made on/after 24th June 2020, you will instead be required to register your card details to secure your booking. In order to take payment in a socially distant and contact free manner you will receive an email 7 days before your arrival asking to pay your balance – If you do not wish to pay online we can arrange alternative payment over the phone. You will be required to pay your balance before you arrive. In the event of a ‘No show’ (where you do not show up) we reserve the right to charge you for your entire booked reservation.

If during your stay at Grassmoor you experience Covid-19 symptoms (A high temperature, a new continuous cough, sore throat or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell) you must isolate yourself in your room &  inform us immediately. You agree that you will arrange testing and that if the result is positive you will return to your primary home address immediately – in the event that you are unable to do so you accept that Grassmoor reserves the right to contact health professionals and/or the local authority and that any extended stay at Grassmoor will result you being liable for the extra cost your extended stay as well as any costs incurred by Grassmoor which may include full liability for future bookings affected by your extended stay . You also accept that staff will not enter the room to clean, maintain the room or to change towels or bedlinen and that your breakfast offering will be changed to facilitate minimum interactions even with social distancing taken in to account.

You agree that during your stay at Grassmoor you will maintain social distancing at 2m from other guests as well as staff. And we strongly advise our guests to wear masks in communal spaces such as corridors.

To facilitate effective social distancing at 2 metres from staff and other guests Rooms 2 & 4 – breakfast will be available for in-room consumption only – Room 3 is a Room Rate Only – No breakfast is available for stays in Room 3 on a Room only rate. This will include continental options plus optional bacon sandwich. You are required to bring your used breakfast tray and items downstairs to be placed on the table in the breakfast room which staff will then collect to be properly cleaned – the breakfast room will not be available for use other than this. If you do not return your tray or used items we regret that we will be unable to offer you breakfast the following morning. When returning your breakfast tray you will be able to collect a pre-order form to be filled in and returned by 9pm to recieve breakfast the following morning. If you do not return your breakfast form by 9pm we regret we will be unable to provide breakfast the following morning.


2 Price

The price includes accommodation plus full breakfast. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional drinks, telephone calls etc are additional – Payment by card.

Minimum stays of 2 nights are required, absolutely no 1 night bookings are available. All booked nights must be occupied by the same guests. If you book multiple nights and later need to change to a 1 night booking the original booking price is still payable in full. Any and all deposits paid are Non-refundable, under any circumstances.

Absolutely no arrivals on Sundays. No changes to existing bookings that will result in a Sunday arrival – Your booking may be cancelled in the event that you wish to change to a Sunday arrival, and any outstanding costs will be payable in Full by you.


3 Cancellation

The following cancellation charges apply: £10.00 administration fee. If you need to cancel your booking and the room(s) are unable to be re-booked: 100% of total stay within 7 days of arrival, 50% of total stay within 14 days. This charge applies to each and every room booked. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a confirmed booking constitutes a binding contract.

Bookings taking advantage of any special offers that are paid in full at the point of booking are non-refundable under any cancellation and are entirely non-transferable.

For your protection and peace of mind, we recommend holiday cancellation insurance. Guests are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.


4 Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable e.g. Burst pipes. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.


5 Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 4:00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged and agreed by us at the time of booking. You will need to provide an approximate time of arrival at the time of booking.


6 Departure

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged and agreed. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable in full on departure.


7 Damages and Breakages

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act, omission, default or neglect of the guests and will pay to Grassmoor Guest House on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.


8 Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere at Grassmoor Guest House. Anyone found smoking anywhere inside will be asked to leave immidiately and you will be liable for the cost of removing the smell of smoke from the room or any areas affected, including but not limited to Dry-cleaning curtains, replacing any affected bedding, and any charges incurred if you trigger the integrated smoke detectors resulting in the disruption of other guests.


9 Pets

Sorry, pets are not permitted.


10 Liability

Grassmoor Guest House does not accept responsibility for, damage to, or for theft from, or for theft of vehicles parked on the premises.


11 Data

Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
