Booking Terms

The Ski Apartment Curling B Tignes Val Claret

1 Introduction

Thank you for choosing to stay in ‘The Ski Apartment’, operated by Grassmoor Guest House. By making this booking you have entered into a legally binding contract with us to which these terms and conditions apply.

Guests are required to have suitable insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, loss of baggage, personal effects, money and your policy should cover you for any and all activities you wish to undertake during your stay at ‘The Ski Apartment’.

Party Leader

The Party Leader is the person who reads and accepts the terms and conditions. This person enters into this contract on behalf and with the consent of all persons named on the booking. The party leader accepts responsibility for all persons included in the booking in relation to payment and these terms and conditions. The Party Leader must be at least 18 years old.

Booking Amendments

Every effort will be made to amend a booking, however the party leader will be liable for any increased costs resulting from changing the booking.

2 Price & Stay

The price paid is strictly for self-catered accommodation only in ‘The Ski Apartment’ Tignes Val Claret. Towels and bed linen are provided per person or bed for the duration of your stay – no mid-week linen or towel change is offered.


All bookings require a 25% deposit. The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks before departure. If full payment is not received 4 weeks before the departure date we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit

A £500 Security deposit will be held against your payment method – any damage caused to ‘The Ski Apartment’ or its contents will be charged to you whether accidental or through your own misuse, intoxication or anti-social behaviour.

Minimum stays of 7 nights are required. All booked nights must be occupied by the same guests. The Ski Apartment is NOT suitable for infants, booking requests that include infants will be declined. Children MUST be able to sleep in a bunk bed without railings provided – children are placed in bunk beds at your acceptance of the risks. We accept no liability should any injury occur through use or misuse of any and all facilities provided.

If your stay is curtailed through your own actions we are under no liability to compensate you or your group in any form.

3 Cancellation


Cancellation by the guest will incur in the following percentage charges of the full holiday cost:
• More than 8 weeks will mean loss of deposit
• 6-8 weeks before the departure date 40%.
• 4-6 weeks before the departure date 60%.
• Less than 4 weeks before the departure date 100%.

In the unlikely event of cancellation by us you will receive a full refund.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a confirmed booking constitutes a binding contract.

4 4 Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control – expect Force Majeure. We would attempt to find you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for use of ‘The Ski Apartment’. Our liability would not extend beyond monies paid by you to us.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for problems or delays caused by strikes, political unrest, riots, hostilities, terrorist activity, war, industrial disputes, fire, flood, tornadoes, hurricanes, transportation problems, airport closures, weather conditions or any other event. You must ensure that your travel insurance sufficiently covers you. We cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by “force majeure”. In these booking conditions, “force majeure” means any event, which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not even with all due care, foresee or avoid. These events are including but not limited to such as listed above.

5 Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 4:00pm on the day of arrival. No arrival before this time is permitted. We are under no liability to store your bags or provide interim accommodation of any form.

6 Departure

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:00am on the day of departure. If you are still in the accommodation after 10:00am and the cleaners arrive you will be charged a £100 penalty – this is non-negotiable.

Your bags must be removed from the property including ski locker by 10:00am, we are under no obligation to provide bag storage or provide accommodation in the event of your delayed departure from the apartment or resort.

On your departure we kindly request that all bed linen is stripped from the beds, you leave the apartment in a tidy condition with no excessive mess or spills. All rubbish is removed from the property and balcony, all windows and doors are shut and that you place the Key back in the ‘Keysafe’. If you fail to leave the Key in the Keysafe we reserve the right to charge you for a replacement key or a change of locks and the cutting of replacement keys.

7 Damages and Breakages

We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the comfort of others, without recompense. Please respect other guests and neighbours, keep noise to a minimum between 22:00 and 06:00
We reserve the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out repairs or maintenance.

If you have a complaint with your accommodation or if you find that anything is faulty within the accommodation that needs attention you must inform us immediately, so that we can repair or make alternative arrangements. Due to the limited period of your stay, it may not be possible to repair such items during the period of rental.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to ‘The Ski Apartment’ during their stay caused whether accidental, misuse or through intoxication or anti-social behaviour, this is including but not limited to furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act, omission, default or neglect of the guests and will pay Grassmoor Guest House on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage. We reserve the right to charge the payment card.

8 Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the apartment. Anyone found to have been smoking anywhere inside will be asked to leave immediately and you will be liable for the cost of removing the smell of smoke from the apartment or any areas affected, including but not limited to dry-cleaning curtains, replacing any affected bedding.

9 Pets

Sorry, pets are not permitted under any circumstances.

10 Personal belongings & liability

Clients are responsible for all of their belongings at all times. Grassmoor Guest House does not accept responsibility for, damage to, or for theft from the apartment’.

In the event of illness or injury during the holiday the payment of all doctors, hospital and repatriation expenses are the responsibility of the client.

We are only responsible for ensuring that all accommodation and services meet the standard advertised on the website.

11 Data

Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
