Ding Ding! All change…

So, it’s been a rather eventful 2 weeks at Grassmoor. As some of you may already know Richard and Rebecca have moved on to pastures new and we wish them the best of luck with their next venture. On May 2nd the reigns (and the keys) were handed over to Rob and I – at this point you might be wondering exactly who we are… well, sit back and relax, here’s a story all about how (our lives got twisted upside down)…

Rob and I have been holidaying in Keswick for many a year, it was in fact our first holiday together (the memories). We have always had a love of the outdoors, the mountains and of Britains stunning national parks. Rob is the man with the map, the plan and he always knows where the best pubs are… handy after a hard days hike! But our lives took a different turn and in seeking the thrill of Skiing we wound up happily living in the French Alps for some 5 – 6 years where we used to run a Ski Chalet – many an adventure and hard days work were had, we enjoyed our lives there, the snow, the sun, the tartiflette, still, there was something that was always missing and no matter how much we tried we just couldn’t put our finger on it.

Chance bought us back to the Lake District and to Keswick in September 2016, we were planning another Keswickian holiday when we finally realised that it was a real community, a real town, a real pub, those typically British things we were missing… that decided it! 6 months later we found Grassmoor and everything clicked in to place…

So, in short, we love the outdoors, good food, fine company & a stunning view… we hope our guests do too, and we look forward to sharing Keswick and the Lake District with all of you.

Bon Voyage
