3. Arriving at Grassmoor Guest House
We are situated on Blencathra Street, which is a very short distance to the east of the town centre. We do not have private parking, but unrestricted, free on street parking is available directly in front of the house and on adjoining streets. If required, a long stay pay and display car park is available on Otley Road in Keswick, around 5-10 minutes’ walk from us. The town bus station is around a ten minute walk with a gentle incline.
Blencathra Street and the surrounding streets are generally flat and level. Our entrance is via the front door, which is marked by a lamppost from which our sign hangs.
There are 5 steps up to our front door, but there is no hand rail. We can help guests with their luggage. On arrival, guests will be met at the front door and shown into the house.
All of our bedrooms are upstairs and are not easily accessible if you have serious mobility issues. There is generally a good contrast between floor and walls throughout the house.

6. Getting around in Keswick
Grassmoor is only about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Keswick and its numerous restaurants, pubs and shops. The route involves crossing relatively quiet roads and does not involve any difficult inclines.
7. In the event of an emergency
Emergency access is via the main staircase and the front door of the house. Emergency exit signs directing guests to the exit are located on the first and second floor. In the event of a fire being detected, a fire alarm will sound automatically and emergency lighting will illuminate the exit route.
